Interview the Artist:

ü  Research your artist using the organizer provided as a guide. Focus your searches on kids art websites.

ü  Turn this information into an oral interview, to be performed in a few weeks.

ü  It is suggested that one (or 2-3, depending on the size) group members act as art critics or journalists and another group member will become the artist who is interviewed by the critics/journalists. 

ü  For paintings of a specific historical figure, or based on the information you have been given, you may choose to interview the historical subject rather than the artist.

ü  This does not need to be memorized, but you must be comfortable with the information.

ü  You are encouraged to come dressed in costume and act as the character you are portraying (voice, gestures, etc).

ü  For example, you may pose questions about the artist/character’s childhood, inspirations, techniques, etc.
