Ad Versus Reality:

  • an awareness of the different techniques used to enhance the appearance of foods in ads
  • an awareness of the format and structure of food ads
  • an understanding of your own reactions, as consumers, to these advertisements

  • At least 1 photo of an ad of your selected food item- analyze what techniques you think were used
  • At least 1 photo of your just-purchased menu item with analysis
  • Photos of your styled food
  • 1 side-by-side comparison slide
  • Additional analysis slides of process, challenges, roles, conclusion, etc
